NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS SHOULDN’T FACE DESHAUN WATSON – Deshaun Watson’s situation has been dire, to say the least. Legal proceedings related to the case appear to be nearing completion as the case’s disciplinary officer, Sue Robinson, imposed a six-game suspension on Watson for being NFL-related. If this continues, or if he is suspended any longer, the New England Patriots will not face him.

It seems wrong to talk about the football side of it, but it is a remarkable fact for the condition of the pitch.

It is disappointing to read and hear about Deshaun Watson’s endless allegations of sexual misconduct.

Earlier today, Judge Sue Robinson, who was appointed by the NFL as the NFLPA, ruled that Watson should be suspended for six games during the 2022 season.

The NFL was pushing for a full-year ban, so we’ll see if Commissioner Roger Goodell takes action.

Deshaun Watson’s six-game suspension saw him ruled out of games against the Panthers, Jets, Steelers, Falcons, Chargers, and Patriots.

Watson will be eligible to return against the Ravens on October 23.

The Patriots will travel to Cleveland for this game, so it helps that Watson probably won’t play.

I don’t think they are likely to trade for Jimmy Garoppolo, so the Patriots can plan for Jacobi Brissette, who is the team’s primary backup.

Brissette is a solid quarterback with good starting experience.

This fringe is at the beginner/high-end stand-in level, so you can play around a bit.

However, since the Patriots no longer have to deal with Deshan Watson, it is possible that he could travel to Cleveland and win the team.
